All models of medicine are based on sciences which, in turn are based on underlying worldview that reflects the values and beliefs of the society in which it was formulated
— Lonnie Jarrett - Nourishing Destiny

Since opening Acupuncture Holistic Medicine clinic in 2015, I have seen more than 1000 patients and feel privileged to be able to offer a unique approach; one which combines the wisdom and skills of traditional Chinese medicine and clinical experience informed by recent findings coming from research being carried out in clinics all over the world.

Having a particular interest in:

Having lived the past 17 years in Booragoon, Nicole and her partner Lydia have raised three gorgeous, now grown up, children. They love their fur baby, twelve year old Willow, a mini schnauzer and more recent additions feathered friends - chickens - Layla, Yoko, Hedwig, Bianca, Buckbeak, Phoenix, Raspberry and Marmalade (are they the coolest names for chicken you’ve ever heard!). Weekends they love trying new vegetarian recipes, fermenting kimchi, seeing French or Italian films with friends, practising yoga, tai chi, walking or kayaking on flat water in fair weather ;) and spending time with their precious family and friends.

My background and training

In 2014 I graduated from Endeavour College of Natural Health with a Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture) degree and Dux medal. In 2017, I completed a Masters of Applied Science (Chinese herbal medicine) degree with Distinction at RMIT. During my studies I traveled to Nanjing, China to go deeper into the study of classical herbal medicine with Professor Huang Huang at his clinic.

From student to teacher the circle continues, and so I began teaching at Endeavour College of Natural Health as a sessional academic lecturer teaching Foundations of Traditional Chinese Medicine, TCM Research, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Paediatrics and Advanced Acupuncture Techniques (in 2018), and in semester one 2019 TCM Research and Gynecology.

I’m continuing my passion for learning by continuing my study of Chinese herbal medicine, including classical formulas, diagnosis and pathophysiology according to Shang Han Lun and Jing Gui Yao Lue - both ancient texts that are totally relevant today, with Sharon Weizenbaum as part of the White Pine Healing Institute, two year Graduate Mentorship Program. It’s an incredible professional development opportunity learning from Sharon who has over 30 years experience and a particular interest in gynecology and obstetrics.
